To provide children with special needs the opportunity for an inclusive Catholic education in their home parish schools.
FIRE Foundation of Central IL 2024 Highlights:
awarded $15,000 in Grants to partner schools for inclusive education resources
gifted four Inclusion Champion Awards to teachers from each of our partner schools. Each award came with recognition and a $500 prize for classroom materials.
celebrated our 5-year Anniversary in October marking five years of growth and advocacy for children with special needs. Celebration events were held in each of our primary communities of Peoria, Bloomington, and Champaign.

🔥 PROJECT BonFIRE Update! 🔥
FIRE Foundation, an advocacy and funding organization supporting inclusive Catholic education based in Kansas City, Mo., has received a grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. to help establish Project BONFIRE, a five-year initiative designed to build the capacity of Catholic K-12 schools and educators to welcome and support students with disabilities.
