Family:
I was born in LaGrange, IL and raised in Lockport, IL. I joined the US Army right after high school and served for four years as Airborne Infantry in the 82nd Airborne division. I met my wife in high school, and we were married in 2008. We have two children, Mark and Matthew, who attend Corpus Christi Catholic School in Bloomington. They have been attending Corpus Christi since preschool and love the family-like atmosphere of the school. We have been members of St. Patrick’s Church of Merna Parish since 2007.
Career and Volunteer Affiliations:
I graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in Telecommunication Management in 2009. I am currently employed at Clinton Power Station as a Sr. Services Analyst – IT and have been with Exelon since graduating from ISU in 2009. I currently serve as the Vice President of Exelon Military Actively Connected- an employee resource group with the mission to help promote a positive workplace environment for those with prior military service. I am a member of the North American Young Generation in Nuclear which helps provide opportunities for a new generation of nuclear enthusiasts to develop leadership and professional skills. I also serve as a Cubmaster/Den Leader for the Cub Scout pack located at Corpus Christi Catholic School and serve on the training team for the Crossroad District.
Reasons for serving on the FIRE Foundation Board:
Having seen first-hand the struggles individuals with special needs are met with daily, I want to be part of the solution to help those that want the same opportunities as everyone else. I have seen what dedication and determination can do and want to be part of the team that can help those who may not know where to start.
